Celebrate Time to Talk on 2 February 2023

On Thursday 2 February 2023, the nation will be celebrating Time to Talk Day, a day about creating supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. We all have mental health, so by talking about it we can support ourselves and others!

Mental health information drop-ins

Fighting mental health stigma and discrimination is another big part of our mission as a charity. This is why we’ll be joining forces with End Stigma Surrey (the anti-stigma and discrimination campaign we’re part of) who will be hosting three drop-in Time to Talk events on 2 Feb:

  • 10am – 12pm at St Saviour’s Sunbury, Vicarage Rd, Sunbury-on-Thames TW16 7TP
  • 1.30pm – 3.30pm at Stanwell Events, Stanwell Food bank, The Pavilion, Cambria Gardens, Stanwell, Staines TW19 7ER
  • 4.30pm – 6.30pm at Learning Centre, Epsom Library, The Ebbisham Centre, 6 The Derby Square, Epsom KT19 8AG

You can expect:

  • FREE refreshments
  • To meet people with lived experience of mental health challenges called “Mental Health Champions
  • To find out more about local services and support in your local community including Mary Frances Trust, Safe Haven and Community Connections.

No need to book, just show up!

Delivery and Strategy Lead: Co-Production and Community Engagement (Leatherhead)

Portrait of Megan, Co-Production Lead, MFT

Megan joined MFT in January 2025 and looks after the development of our strategic priority for MFT to live and breathe co-production. She also facilitates our Advisory Group, and champions those with lived experience of mental health challenges to improve the way mental health support is developed, reviewed, and delivered.

Megan first learnt about co-production as a Lived Experience Advisor with the Independent Mental Health Network based at Surrey Coalition of Disabled People, contributing her own lived experience to mental health projects in Surrey and North East Hampshire after graduating university.

She has since worked on a range of development projects for Surrey’s mental health and wellbeing support, immersing community engagement and lived experience into research and decision-making. Additionally, she is an alumna for The King’s Fund after completing their Advanced Organisational Development Practitioner programme.

To maintain her wellbeing, Megan is an avid reader, journals, and practices Yoga.
